BIG RED 2008 DETAILS

• Now in its 10th year
• Held annually in October to coincide with the start of the snapper season in Port Phillip Bay
• Attracts over 400 participants, including approximately 60 junior anglers
• Takes place over 48 hours
• Two competition weigh-ins are held on Saturday and Sunday at the JV Marine, site Braeside
• Presentation ceremony and final day celebrations held on Sunday afternoon at JV Marine, Braeside
• JV Marine has been a major event sponsor providing the first prize comprising of a boat and motor package to the value of $7,000
• In addition, JV Marine has provided rods and reels to supplement the prize packs of category winners and also as mystery prizes for competition participants
• In return, JV Marine received:
• Logo acknowledgment on BCAC club shirts
• Logo acknowledgment on promotional flyers and entry forms
• Logo acknowledgment on the competition banner displayed on Springvale Road
• Sponsor acknowledgment by fishing show presenters on SEN and Casey Radio 97.7
